USEA Adult Riders Program for Area III

By joining the Area III Adult Rider program, you are eligible to participate in Adult Rider clinics which are listed and updated on the Area III website. Past clinicians have included Ian Stark, Ralph Hill and Andrew Harbison.
Second, you are able to compete for Area III Adult Rider year end awards as well as being able to compete in the ADULT TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS. The Chronicle of the Horse sponsors the ATCs and winning teams are assured of getting some great prizes at this show. Teams are encouraged to decorate stalls, come up with a team theme and even dress up for the parade of teams.
Finally, Robin Bass, the Area III adult rider coordinator will add you to her email list so that you can get information about other upcoming Area events, raffles, horses for sale, riders in need of things, etc. This is a nice way to stay in touch with other Area Adult riders. Many of us ride and compete for the social aspect and this is another way to enhance your circle of friends.

Approved Shows - Tips

Going to an approved show can put even a seasoned professional at uneasy - always wondering what you forgot and there seems to be a lot of required paperwork to fill out and send with your entry.

Tip - When you copy your paperwork, do it front and back. Use the back of your coggins paperwork to copy your membership cards on.  Show secretaries get piles of paperwork and will appreciate the decreased number of pages to handle.

USEA Checklist
How many times have you pulled out of your drive, with the thought you forgot something and no matter how much you try, you cannot remember it, only to get to the show and realize what it was!  It happens to all of us!  This checklist is designed for eventers, but can be adapted for anyone.
