Schooling Show Championship
October 20-21 & 22, 2023
Held annually in October, the SCDCTA Oktoberfest Schooling Show Championship were developed to give both our dressage and eventing riders in South Carolina a fun, safe, and educational championship level event at a quality facility, without the added expense that sanctioned competitions demand. The show is held over the entire weekend at the SC Equine Park in Camden, SC, and starting in 2023 will feature a 2-day Adult Amateur Clinic for SCDCTA Members!
The Oktoberfest Schooling Show offers both Championship classes for SCDCTA Members to qualify for throughout the season, as well as non-championship classes open to everyone.
We have been lucky to have a number of wonderful sponsors who provide fabulous awards for both the classes as well as special high score awards. And its not just about competition - one year a local riding school gave a musical quadrilles demonstration, we have had stall decorating contests, and the year we held the show over Halloween weekend we had a costume class for horses and riders! The SCDCTA Oktoberfest Schooling Show Championships are always tons of fun, and we look forward to it growing over the next few years!
- Horse must be SCDCTA lifetime registered
- Rider must be a current SCDCTA member
- Earn three scores at the level of your choice from at least two different SCDCTA recognized schooling dressage shows or Combined Tests.
- For dressage riders, one score must be from the highest test of the level.
